The Swiss company Robatech AG, a leading global manufacturer of adhesive technology systems for industrial applications, inaugurated its new production plant in Znojmo on 21 February 2025. The opening was also attended by representatives of the CzechInvest agency, which supported the implementation of this investment with its services.
Robatech AG has been on the market since 1975 and employs more than 670 professionals worldwide. The company specializes in the development and production of industrial technologies and high-quality control systems, application heads, melting equipment and dosing systems.
"CzechInvest has provided Robatech with information and analysis from the very beginning of the investment process. We have helped with the identification of a suitable business location and orientation in the Czech business environment and labour market. We are thrilled that Robatech chose the Czech Republic and Znojmo, where it will bring new job opportunities", said Gabriela Bauerová, Director of the Investment Development Department and in charge of the Investment and Foreign Activities Division.
During the inauguration ceremony, company owner Marcel Meyer stressed that this is more than just a new production facility: "It is a clear commitment to growth, customer proximity and sustainable innovation." Robatech's CEO, Yves Ottiger, added: "With shorter supply chains and optimised processes, we are strengthening our competitiveness while ensuring the highest Swiss quality standards."
Sustainability and technology innovation are key priorities for Robatech. As part of its future strategy, the management, headed by Pavel Holánek, plans to focus its efforts on actively engaging local suppliers using the CzechInvest sector database. The company has also shown a deep interest in working with Czech universities to collaborate and develop advanced technology solutions. This investment is not only a significant addition to a region that has not traditionally been considered a prime destination for foreign investment, but also an initiative that is extremely beneficial in the context of increasing pressure on the labour market, as it brings new employment opportunities and supports the long-term economic development of the region.
